The First Baptist Church of Phoenix Foundation makes grants to bona fide churches in the U.S. and to IRS-recognized 501(c) (3) public charities.
In most cases, funding requests for individual missionaries, and for foreign churches or organizations, should
be made by a sponsoring church or
IRS-recognized public charity in the United States.
In special circumstances, the Foundation may review requests for direct funding to
individual missionaries and foreign organizations. Please contact the Foundation before submitting such applications.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
The FBCP Foundation, seeking to fulfill the missionary legacy of the First Baptist Church of Phoenix, seeks to support the conversion of non-believers through providing needed funding primarily for church plants and associated activities.
This mission is intended to include consideration of the following:
1. Funding for church plants wherever the Lord leads.
2. Funding for the education and training of pastors dedicated to reaching and converting non-believers through new church plants.
3. Funding of other mission and outreach ministries or programs with the potential for achieving the Foundation’s mission.
4. Funding for the support of new churches in need, which have demonstrated success in converting non believers and growing new believers.

The membership grew from 91 in 1893 to over 1,000 in 1923 and over 2,000 in 1977. The First Baptist Church was located in downtown Phoenix until 1968 when the first service was held at the new church campus in the growing north central part of Phoenix.
Over the 125 years of its existence, several Phoenix area churches were off-shoots of the membership of First Baptist Phoenix.

The First Baptist Church of Phoenix Foundation was originally formed in 1993. The Foundation’s activities were limited until 2006 when the members of First Baptist Phoenix voted to formally dissolve, sell the property to another like minded congregation, and turn the proceeds over to the First Baptist Church of Phoenix Foundation for furthering God’s kingdom.
